By now I am five months into my new job. To say that God gave me a blessing here is an understatement.
I was talking to some coworkers about needing to go through my storage unit but that some of my daughters’ stuff was there and I dreaded that.
Upon hearing this, my boss said, “If you need help with that let us know. We will pregame if we need to and help you through this”.
I almost cried.
It wasn’t, “Leave your personal life at the door”. It was “How can we help you carry this?”
I also have noticed that NBC didn’t shy away from Savannah Guthrie’s pain. I get that she’s a celebrity and it’s a news story. However, they seem to be supportive of her grief.
This is how we change the world. Being helpful to others. Carrying the heavy stuff with them. Not expecting them to be robots who separate life and work as if it were oil and water.
I am blessed here.
This will be my last post on this journey. It’s time for the next adventure! Stay tuned!
And until then, be good people. Help people carry the heaviness of life.
In other words, don’t be shitty people.
PS I didn’t proofread this. Sorry for any errors
