Off the Rails in Alaska

Join me on a journey through my adventurous summer in Alaska – where work meets wilderness and every day is a wild ride!

The Finish Line is in Sight

We are down to the wire here in Alaska. I am tired 😴 lol.

Many of the train kids have gone back to college, meaning more hours for us.

I find myself growing increasingly frustrated with the passengers. It makes sense. I’m tired and my patience is thin. Thankfully I’m able to keep it to myself and not take it out on them.

I haven’t kept up with writing as much as I would like to. Free time is sparse and I’m so tired when I have it, I often sit on the couch, mindlessly watching television.
I’m going to fill in the stories as I can.

Still, I know I will miss this place. The lush green. The reflective ponds and lakes that are so numerous. The blue hues of the glacially fed streams.

I’m almost certain to be back next year. Alaska has a hold on me.
