The Riley fire was 100% contained as of July 15. The park had reopened as of July 10 with the exception of a couple of hiking trails. It was a delight to be heading up the mountain again with a train full of guests! We had our first trek up (since the fire) on July Read more

Shortly after we departed Denali on the train June 30, a new fire erupted slightly north of the park. Being southbound, we had to wait for three trains headed northbound. They would be disembarking in Cantwell instead of Denali. As of today, July 3, the park remains closed. Mainly due to power outages that occur. Read more
