Off the Rails in Alaska

Join me on a journey through my adventurous summer in Alaska – where work meets wilderness and every day is a wild ride!

Off We Go

Baggage clerk. “Hey I like your bags. That pattern. My old church had that pattern on the pews. You don’t see this pattern much anymore.”
Me, “😳. Yeah. They were my Grandma’s so they’ve been around a few years!”
Also me, “I have to buy new bags. This large bag is so small and is about to come apart. Also I want something newer so I don’t look like an old lady.”
Oddly enough when we got past security, I saw a man CARRYING and old powder blue pleather suitcase. Sans wheels. He was carrying that bad boy by the handle. Because that was the only choice.
