Off the Rails in Alaska

Join me on a journey through my adventurous summer in Alaska – where work meets wilderness and every day is a wild ride!

A slumber party Goodbye

Stayed at Aimee girls last night. My grandson, Henry was in the house. As was Natasha and Alana. Henry slept in the bed with me. He woke me up in the night with the exclamation, “Grandma. You’re snoring and I can’t sleep. I don’t snore when I sleep”. Oh. Oops. I’m sorry, Henry. I’ll roll over. (This is a recent development for me because I needed something new to deal with). When I got up in the morning, Henry was laying in the living room on the hardwood floor. So I must’ve sounded like a foghorn. Dang I love I little family. My girls are amazing. We’ve formed a tight bond these last couple years. It’s very special. And those two grandsons. Ugh. Doesn’t get any better than that!

I will miss these moments and my family this summer. But I am arranging for them to visit! I want them to have adventures and experience Alaska. Plus I’ll miss them.
